Lancaster Canal path

The upper reaches of Lancaster Canal,  now filled in at the Kendal end,  are marked by a footpath, which I guess is the old towpath. It crosses near the swimming pool where I did about 50 mins of front crawl and back stroke today. The hip is not yet ready for breasttroke . After the marathon swimming session I decided to explore a little bit of the canal path on a very gloomy afternoon with only phone camera. My intention is to explore it all the way to Lancaster- it gets more scenic as you go south. Perhaps I should start at the beginning in Kendal but fear that is now the council refuse site. Off  now to have a look at the map.
