Fir cones...

Pretty sure these are cones from a European Larch. They've been collected up on one of our outings and used in some Christmas decoration or another. I thought they might make a good subject for a close-up.

A pretty busy day today, we're having a new freezer delivered tomorrow, it's for the utility area/garage so just a bog standard upright freezer with no frills. I was amazed to discover that there is a very small choice in this type of freezer these days, apparently there is not much of a market for them. The garage needed some re-arrangement and a few things needed throwing out so that was one good job done.
