Upgrade

Well, we enjoyed the least stressful journey to get to the Gate to catch the flight home. I guess there is a lot of mileage in being early. We got to the desk where they do the final check and G was told that our seats were changed. She was told it was very busy in Economy, so they put us in Business Class! WHAT A SURPRISE! Never imagined; very excited. It made all the difficulty of checking in last night and the hassle at the airport evaporate. We were sat in the first row even! It is the one time when I wished the flight was longer.

The extras are snapshots of the experience; the main image is taken by G (as she was close to the window) of the aircraft, Dubai and planes on the runway. BA used Air Belgium to bring us home. AB use an Airbus A340 on this sector. Even economy would have been fine with a 2-4-2 configuration.

Nice to be home in ten minutes from leaving the airport! And then I just crashed. G unpacked before me and the rest of the day has been spent settling back. Nice to have a chicken biryani after three weeks.
