When is Christmas done!

Sadly early, it seems. The Nativity Scene outside the Old Parish Church has been removed by the Council. Classic FM stopped playing carols around 27 December.

I still feel attracted by a Christmas that lasts till Epiphany. It’s countercultural - because children today find Christmas starting in November. I remember the tree at home going up within the week before the 25th. What excitement that was!
