Log Pile
On the back of the house there are 2 small lean-to stores, typical of a house of that era (1926). One was an outside toilet, the other was a coal store.
Last year I reinstated the outside toilet - with a garden office in the back garden it makes the dash for the loo a lot easier as I don't have to strip off in wet weather to go through the house. There are still a couple of bits to be completed on that, I have to find the right sort of lock that I want for the door, and touch up some of the internal paintwork.
Today I cleared out the coal shed. It had a variety of things in it, but mostly logs from trees that had been removed from the garden. They have been stored elsewhere. All of those off cuts of timber from previous projects that were kept in case they came in handy (but haven't) went to the tidy tip, and a new door was cut to size. I had hoped to get the primer coat onto the door, but was running out of light, so as there was no mad rush to complete it, that was left for another day.
Once reinstated the store will be used for the garden tools and implements that are currently in the garage.
