On Beacon Hill

I finally did my thing for Basil and took him for a walk on Beacon Hill, the highest point on Charnwood Forest. I took my Canon camera hoping to get some multi exposure work done, hence today's photo. I also took photos of natural features such as lichen, bracken, lineations in the rocks which I hope could be used for texture overlays. You could call multi exposure textured overlays in camera. The lens was disappointing for 'straight' photos. I think the focusing needs adjusting but I'm not spending that money on an old lens.

Basil was overjoyed to be out and running free. He did several 'mad runs' to burn off energy (see extra) and was very disappointed when I told him it was time to go home.

A blue haze hung over the Soar Valley. By sunset, there were occasional breaks in the cloud and you could see blue sky. The cloud thickened after nightfall.

A talk on Venice to Keyworth Camera Club this evening which was well received. A good turnout too considering it's the first week of January.
