I understand it is environmentally no worse to burn garden waste than to let it compost and it's certainly much more fun.

The photo is day two of the bonfire which has got rid of all the clippings I have removed from various jobs over the last few months, some debris from RF's garden and also the clippings from one of the hedges surrounding my garden.

This morning I collected a pile of cuttings which was the last of what Trevor had produced while clearing an overgrown bed in RF's garden then did some more tidying at mine whilst feeding the bonfire.

It's been a good day.
