Birthday Snow
So I had 1.5 hours sleep last night after stressing about work until the early hours of the morning. I then had to drive to work this morning and woke to find the work's car totally frozen. And because I don't actually own my own car I had no anti-freeze or window scraper. Luckily the boot doesn't lock so I climbed through the book to start the car and heat the windows with the blowers. Yes, that's right, my birthday started with no sleep and virtually breaking into a car.
Work was also manic and what was meant to be snow flurries turned into what local radio are now calling a blizzard. I accepted a friend's offer of a lift home and it ended up taking us 2.5 hours. The city was at a virtual standstill by the time we got home. The day was rounded off with a rather underwhelming chinese takeaway and a bottle of red wine which I can barely keep at room temperature in real feel temps of -7 degrees. Another glass of wine, bath and bed methinks.
