Blackbird's Buffet

We have an apple feeding station for the blackbirds in our small back garden-and they love it.  There were 3 there this morning as you can see in the photo.  I am not sure how the system works but they have to wait their turn, so the one at the bottom is waiting, and there many be a few more in the surrounding shrubs.  I collect the windfall apples from a local orchard at the hospital, so there is no expense involved, and it gives us a lot of pleasure as we watch them through the kitchen window as we wash up.
