Clinging on to Christmas

This is, for us, officially the last day of the holidays. All signs of festivities have been removed from the house, a winter ‘spring’ clean and declutter has been undertaken in all bedrooms, packing for school has been done.

Jack has spent a couple of days helping his Yorkshire grandad with a building project and got the train back up to us today. I took him into town afterwards to get his haircut and parked next to this Durham landmark pub to wait for him. They’re obviously not quite ready to move on from Christmas just yet, but the lights outside look lovely. I hope they leave them up.
