Bouquetin Ridge
I have been up to this area several times in the last month and the bouquetins seem to have gone on holiday. Maybe they are getting much more to eat lower down and are keeping the ridge grass for when the snow does arrive. The ridges catch the sun first so the snow melts as you can see here. Early this morning the wind was blowing spindrift from the pistes across the ridge, biting into my cheeks, and temperatures were at least minus ten degrees. Maybe it is not surprising that sensible animals were sheltering in the forests below.
