Fuse box Friday....

The day the lights went out . In the shed I was busy feeding cattle in at the time . The lights in other sheds seemed OK so started checking trip switches and fuse boxes , only to eventually discover that there had been a power cut which came back on . The fluorescent lights in the other sheds obviously came straight back on. What I hadn’t thought of was the metal halide ones in the shed I was in need time to cool down before they will come on again !
Geordie the scan man here to do the early lambing ewes next door. Haven’t heard from wee brother how many were in lamb, but any empty ones will be off to the mart next week.
Just to round off the day, had to go and retrieve the McCormick tractor and trailer from down the road as the transmission started playing silly buggers and going into neutral by its self. Not handy for old Bill while carting a load of dung up the steepest hill in Gorebridge. It will be something electrical,a loose wire or relay but it’s the faffing around trying to find it that will be the problem. Bring back old fashioned manual gearboxes and a clutch and stuff you could fix with a big hammer !
