Composer and Cuban Pianist, Aldo López-Gavilan, was on fire this evening performing George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with the Florida Orchestra. My husband and I knew we were in for a treat with the guest conductor, Thomas Wilkins, and the program that was planned. But we were blown away with the talent and technique of Aldo. His encore was an original composition called Shona. Extraordinary color, High-energy, and rhythmic fascinating sounds are words that best describe his amazing performance! Dave and I stopped by to congratulate him and buy one of his CDs. We loved the joy on his face as he performed this evening
