Hanbury Hall

Another National Trust property today, this time Hanbury Hall near Droitwich Spa. The Christmas celebrations were very kitsch, with Babycham, snowballs and cheese fondue being served. A ghetto blaster was playing 80’s music in the hall and the tree was decorated with a diverse collection Barbie and Ken dolls, some of which were naked and in couples, an idea from one of the volunteers. It did explain why the gentleman at the entrance laughingly told us we were lucky to still see the Christmas tree. Lunch in the cafe was good as well.
