Overshoot

Final day, grey sky, light snow. We’re all on the slopes together. Angus forgets to stop at the agreed lift (Diamant Noir) - twice - walking back the second time.

We eat chips at the foot of Desert Blanc and bump into Bill and Margaret, organic egg farmers from Peebles. It’s been a long time since we last got layers from them. Bizarre coincidence.

By four we’re in the sauna. The van arrives to take us to the airport, on time, at five. Claire celebrates at Geneva airport with Buck’s Fizz. Megan’s headache is relieved by a nosebleed as we prepare for landing in Edinburgh.

We’re home just before midnight.
