Knit one, purl one, drop one

I started this project a while ago.  I took it to Wales where I tried to watch tv while knitting it.  Mistake!!!  The pattern has several repeats in each row. I lost count numerous times. So when I came home,  I thought I'd rip it back and start again. 

Then I start dropping things. . . .  It got put in Time Out to think about what it has done.
