I spy

After the early trip to the supermarket I headed over the back into the orchard/parkland with a scythe to cut back some of the dead Willowherb.  I didn't work for more than an hour but I've created quite a pile even though I don't seem to have made much of a dent in the amount there is to do. 

The brambles are really taking hold and could do with some serious work but unfortunately the conservation group can only do so much and at least they'll be able to get at the fruit trees to prune them in a couple of weeks time.

I spied this ladybird wandering around, taking advantage of the mild morning.
