Red Shouldered Hawk

When the weather predictions for this morning included sunshine, I was up before sunrise and headed out to Huntley Meadows.  At first, it was pretty quiet except for a lot of geese, but then I ran into Photomatt.  We had a nice catch-up and then found a couple of Red-Headed Woodpeckers (one in extra).  After Photomatt left, I came across a couple of hawks and fortunately one landed not too far from me.  I knew that was going to be my blip.  It was just so delightful to be outdoors even though it was cold.
