Opening soon ...

The new IKEA store on Greenwich Peninsula now blares out the company's brand (it was just a blue box in September). It has yet to open (that's happening on 7th February), so local traffic is still flowing relatively freely....

Went down to Bugsby's Way to buy a few groceries - mainly ingredients to make parkin (a northern sweet biscuit/cake), which I had promised as a treat to my daughter. Walked back via Charlton Lane, and had a pint in the White Swan in Charlton Village on the way (thirsty work carrying all those groceries up that hill!).
