Meakin Brothers to Emma Bridgewater

This pottery was opened in 1883 by Meakin Brothers. Like so many of the hundreds of potteries in Stoke on Trent it eventually closed. In 1996, Emma Bridgewater opened her pottery in the same building to produce her very successful range of pottery and employs around 150 people.
A rare good news story for the pottery industry.
