looking up....

damages.....by Jas Davidson, 2014

The Fox Inn is one of Oswestry’s old timber-framed buildings. It had a projecting gable and Isaac Watking tells a story of a traveller in the mid 1850s, this man didn’t see the gable, struch his head on it and badly damaged his new silk hat.

After being threatened with the law, the owner had the offending gable removed thus spoiling the whole look of the building.....

i’ve walked past this thousands of times...and missed this.....good to be reminded to keep looking up.....:):)
