Beginnings

The start of a new book is always a mystery - will it be inspiring, will it be thrilling or will it be a hard slog?  If I can't get 'into' the book within about three chapters I find it hard to continue.  Thankfully there are very few books I don't carry on with.  Usually murder mysteries and thrillers are my favourites.
