Look Ma! No concrete!

A 'record' Blip. The carpet was fitted today so for the first time in around seven months we no longer have a strip of bare concrete between four and six feet wide in front of the fireplace. We went for a fairly deep pile carpet and thick underlay so it all feels nice and 'squashy' now. Because of the pile and it being a big room the fitters said it was probably the heaviest carpet they will have to carry this year, and I rather think they wished the company had sent out three men instead of two! We also had the stairs and landing recarpeted so it is all looking nice and new. I just need to get the electrician to come back and refit the alarm sensor which is currently hanging loose in the corner.

We put back a couple of rugs but they are 'walking' whenever you step on them; I'll have to get some sort of gripper to stop them moving.
