Back at the Pond

We  went back to the MacKenzie Marsh today as the sun was out  but the clouds moved in later in the day. The marsh has been taken over by a lot of cat tails and wetland weeds due to the drought we had a couple of years ago but the deeper pond has remained much the same .It was covered in ice today. We usually see swans, geese, ducks,herons and cormorants here fishing and swimming but  as it freezes over the birds will leave and look for open water....will be nice to see them back in the Spring.
