The lantern loving ghost

Today was mostly collections of hired vehicles and equipment such as heaters, lights, radios, chairs, water bowser... a skip. Location management is not glamorous!

Walked four miles around the estate with the Location Manager checking for litter, damage and anything left behind while we chatted about our plans for our time off between shoots (mostly catching up on sleep, exercise, eating healthy and cultural activities like reading books and painting).

Also spent some time deliberating with the locations team on whether a ghost stole two lanterns that disappeared from a locked room yesterday. Spooky! This kind of thing does happen in buildings over 300 years old.

Home now with my feet up after an exhausting but great few weeks. Made some good friends on this shoot. The production airs in late spring so I’ll be sure to tip you off when the embargo is lifted.

The photo is the Tarred Yarn Store which is a Grade One listed building and scheduled ancient monument and possibly home to a lantern-loving ghost...

Bit of trivia...This building has featured in Les Miserables (feature film), Downton Abbey and Call the Midwife.
