Town reflections
On a rare trip into Béziers this morning, having finished the boring administrative tasks, I spent a few minutes in the sun taking some photos. I like the mix of architecture in the town. There's quite a lot of Midi vernacular even in the centre, like the balconies and roofs in the reflections here, there's a lot of northern-style architecture that looks as though it would belong more to Paris than the Languedoc, built during the wine boom at the end of the nineteenth century when those with money wanted to mimic the north, and there are these wonderful modern plate glass windows to reflect it all in!
