The beginning

. . . of the sourdough.

I used to make sourdough but after a while the started wasn’t very well and I threw it away. Sourdough can’t be rushed and it has to be left to prove for sometime. I thought that it would be good for me to make it again so I’ve started the starter again. In three days time we’ll see if it has started to grow.

The man came this morning to fix the boiler and so far it’s working.

I’ve been putting the Christmas decorations away. I saw a tip a few years ago of wrapping the lights on a coat hanger, the sort that look like two triangles joined together. It’s easier the next year to unwind them.
