A reminder of better times in Egypt

I brought this camel saddle from Egypt many years ago. I carried it on my lap in the plane at a time when cabin rules were clearly more lax than they are now.

It reminds me of the many fantastic experiences I enjoyed there, from the impressive pyramids, the holiness of Mount Sinai, the splendour of Luxor, the mystery of the Valley of the Kings, the incredible culture an chaos of Cairo.

I hope that the present day turmoil there settles down very quickly. I want to go back.
