Crescent Moon + Dorothea Lange Exhibition
Captured at 17:15 at the edge of the Jardin des Tuileries, overlooking the Concorde. (I confess I've enlarged the moon by one-third.) We'd just left the Jeu de Paume, where we'd seen a stunning exhibition of photographs by Dorothea Lange (1895-1965), best known for her photos of the Great Depression for the Farm Security Administration (FSA). Her most familiar image is the "Migrant Mother"; it is beautifully displayed with a series of related photos--see the extra. I found it a thrilling show (it's on through 27 January--not to be missed if you're within reach).
