How is this for luck.

Spent all morning looking for a suitable subject in the garden - nada. I go in the house, spot the flowers and what's sitting on one of the dead stems?!

I thought it was really unusual so I had to look it up. This particular type of ladybird (the 14-spot ladybird) is a smaller version of the more common red/black species. They apparently hibernate around this time, but this one wanted to stay up late and watch cartoons ;)
