Day 009/19. Electricity and Steam do not mix

A minor household panic today as during a steam wallpaper stripping session, the central heating thermostat decides its had enough hot steam.
Clearly not designed to operate in a sauna, our thermostat packed up and went haywire.
A hour with the lid off and the batteries out brought it back to life. PHEW !!!
There is mains power electricity in thermostats....don't try this at home.
