On an Icy Morning, the Nittany Lion Keeps Watch

Monday night into Tuesday brought a mix of wintry weather to central Pennsylvania, and we awoke on Tuesday morning to slick, icy surfaces. Every drive way and parking lot had been turned into an ice skating rink, and stairs were treacherous. The roads out where we live weren't very good, so I took the bus to work.

I decided to spend the few minutes I had between buses in the morning visiting with our famous Nittany Lion, near Rec Hall. I found the lion lightly coated in ice, and I took a number of photos. In this one, I liked the way it seemed as though the lion was watching over campus.
