Rien ne va plus

So far we have come on the way home, until the whole traffic came to a standstill. After the bend it goes down a hill and the road was covered with pure ice. Even at walking pace and with winter tyres the vehicles slipped on the road. When it became clear that the situation would not change quickly, we were able to turn carefully on the road and make a long detour. Normally we need 20 minutes for the route, today it was 2 hours.
