Oats

Yesterday I made sauerkraut, today I made experimental oatcakes. You might think I was preparing for the end times, I couldn't possibly comment. 

I think these might be technically oatmeal biscuits, being half-and-half oatmeal and wheatflour - but it'll take me a while to get back into grappling with pure oatmeal dough as it is "sticky and thoroughly unruly and with a tendency to crack" according to a noted author. They're effin' delicious, anyway!
