Underwater Rehab

The New England Aquarium has a sea turtle rescue center where sea turtles are treated for cold-stunning, a type of hypothermia suffered by sea turtles who don't migrate south soon enough for winter. This is a green sea turtle named "Goose" who is convalescing at the aquarium in Boston. (For more on this turtle and his recovery, see the 11 Feb 09 entry of the rescue blog.)

I find that my photos at the aquarium are hit or miss. Didn't have much luck today with the crowds and low light. I wish I had captured my own child interacting with the sea turtle, but it was another little boy who was also visiting the aquarium. I loved how the turtle kept coming up to the glass where the little boy held his open hand.
