Hen pheasants

About six weeks ago a hen pheasant began coming to our garden, drawn perhaps by the rich pickings to be had under the bird feeders. Recently we have not seen her, although we were assured she was still alive when we saw her footprints in the snow. Today she was back, and brought a friend with her. It was interesting to observe the reaction from pheasants and red squirrels to each other.
