Larry fushion

Larry, in the beech hedge, no sunlight, just the colour of the beech leaves bouncing to my lens onto Larry... making him look angelic, which he is... oh so very much so.
I had a comment from someone last night where they're accusing me of overfeeding Larry. Now, it's cold out there, it's just zero on most days, colder in the wind. Larry puffs himself up into a fat fluffy feathered robin when this happens & looks like a beached whale... in reality, he's streamlined, he looks like he should adorn a racing car, swift, straight cut, energetic, powerful.... who needs a jaguar when you can have a robin? ;)
And this brings me to my next paragraph - you guys in the UK, you guys in Europe, you guys in America/Canada & other parts of the cold wintered world - if you can spare table scraps, or even manage to get to your local pet shop or garden centre - your garden birds need you. They're hungry. There are too many gardening programmes on the tv, as in, *how to keep your gardens nice & tidy* because once you start that, you chop down winter food for the birds, winter homes for the hibernators whether amphibian, warm blooded or insect. In future *leave* places for animals & birds to thrive on in a harsh winter. Yet, please feed your garden birds, they need us.
And as for the person on the Blipfoto forum complaining about the ESSAYS people type here, well, tough... & mine holds a message!
