Committee Day

A tax return to complete! My affairs are quite simple these days but it still took a couple of hours just finding stuff. Completed just in time to meet up with Libby and Denis for an hour or so to go over boat business. We’re the finance subcommittee, y'see. The Commodore wants to throw some money at the toffs over at the other club. Incredible but true. I suspect some ulterior motive but a phone call reveals he just feels we ought to pay a contribution for all those racing buoys we hardly use. We haven’t even been asked for any. I suspect he's trying to atone for his badness. 
Later, after some manly log chopping and canvas scrubbing, I was out officiating again. The first committee meeting of the collective along at the OCP. Basically, I learn that we’re against everything, even if it’s stuff we’d quite like because it’ll probably add to the traffic. An enjoyable couple of hours and then J, anti-car person in chief, jumped in her car and headed off to the 24 hour ADSA. Let’s hope she kept to 20mph.
