Waxwings!!!

ok, so the light was rubbish, it was drizzling with rain BUT my first ever sightings of waxwings! We'd heard they were around in Salford but they'd pretty much eaten the berries by the time we'd got to check out their first location so when we read that they'd moved slightly to where there were still plenty of berries we thought we'd check it out this morning after nipping to the trafford center for Waterstones.
The light couldn't have been worse really but then luckily this one popped onto a tree a little nearer that shows his colour off. Added an extra that shows the good 'hair' style!
Very happy to have finally spotted these guys... I just wish they wouldn't choose to eat in the middle of a housing estate that makes you feel awkward pointing your camera around...
