The lights are on

... but few people are at work.

New guy arrived on Monday.
My ear had started being bung again on Sunday so went to the surgery on Monday morning in search of an appointment. Got one at a completely different surgery (in Bletchley) that evening. Very convenient (well, apart from having to miss the football game). Prescribed antibiotics and so ended up going to an out of hours chemists. Which felt like something in the projects. Had to talk to the chemist from outside through a security window then wait in my car until it was ready.

Fartlekked it on Tuesday and tennis in the evening. Wednesday lunchtime footy was full up - lots of people coming out ahead of the football tournament.

Lost the second Thursday game in a row - not a good start to the year.

Writing this ahead of the Friday evening game - the organisation of which I have finally managed to palm off on someone else!
