Pestilence
We're into double figures in January!
So, today I had ideas of catching a bus to the post office to collect the car part which rachelwhynot posted. Fortunately, I realised in time that the key to the box lives in G's car, so no wasted trip there. I did, however, have to wait for G to get home.
Fortunately, Thursday is an early finish for her, so I was at the post office, collecting my recorded delivery item by noon. The system has changed slightly, and not for the better. There is now a ten dirham (plus VAT) admin charge for handling packages with an additional charge based on the value of the item. I am er, not impressed.
I drove straight to Volvo to deliver the part. Fortunately, the service advisor was there, despite it being over the lunch break. Phew! I hope it fits as it is for a 960.
The evening involved driving over to Al Barsha to the hotel where EBCI will now be holding its services/ministries. They kicked off with Awana which has moved back to Thursday evening. No-one knew what to expect and there's going to have to be huge adjustments made to how things can be done. All in all, it went well. G's little group were just the right number to fit around a table which made for an easy lesson.
We had parked the car on the road as there was plenty of parking, and I do like getting maximum use of the season parking card we paid so much money for in September. Well, I got back to the car, and my blip is the view that greeted me.
I've blipped about these cards before. They offer, er, massage services! I think you get what it's about. I have never had so many left on my car over such a short time (three hours). SO annoying. We got home just before 10. Thursday evenings are going to be really different for the next few months.
