Snow

I woke to a light covering of snow, and had a good, long day's work. Lunch with the boss was pleasant and clearly my students and I will be welcomed back anytime.

I note in passing that Sir Michael Atiyah OM died earlier today. He'd been Britain's greatest living Mathematician, with one each of the two Maths prizes equivalent to Nobel prizes (Fields Medal and Abel Prize). He retired to Edinburgh, and we shared the same secretary for many years.
