Red Squirrel
As is my custom I was counting birds first thing this morning and a movement down among the remains of the Irises caught my eye. It was this little fellow burying a nut from the bird table. Grab camera! Wrong lens! Quick change of lens. By this time it had moved over to have a drink. I just caught it moving off.
In the afternoon we went to the Penrith Support Group of the Cumbria Wildlife Trust. The talk was on Seal particularly those on Walney. An interesting talk particularly learning that the site was slowly becoming a breeding site with 5 pups this year. I suppose it could almost have been classed as a mini blip meet as well as the three of us High Pike was there as well.
