Small and tall

Mummy hazelh is not very tall (and shrinking). Jon, in contrast, has all the height. I took my blip today when Jon arrived this evening for Friday night curry and Catan (observed by Mummy hazelh, won by Mr hazelh). We all had a jolly time, sharing photos at/of the dinner table with the rest of the family in two other locations. In West Sussex curry was also on the menu. In Newcastle my not-so-little sister was enjoying the company of her cat.

My main work achievement of the day was to finish marking module and honours project work. Frances and I also reviewed the student feedback on our module. This is of particular interest to us this year because we implemented a number of changes to the delivery of the module in 2018/19. These were to (a) accommodate a larger, mixed class that includes direct entry students and (b) in response to student feedback about workload in 2017/18.

We were delighted to see that the majority of students gave us the highest rating in all categories on the module feedback questionnaire. They also left some lovely comments about our teaching. These included, for example: 'Overall, really enjoyable class with friendly lecturers who effectively kept me engaged in the topic'; 'Super fun course'; 'Best course I have ever taken'. They also remarked on our organisational skills (naturally...)
