Glasshouses

All day the sky was like sugar paper that has been forgotten on a school windowsill and faded to that colour that has no name. Duller than tedious. Monotone. A black hole that couldn't be bothered to be black, absorbing any lumen that might dare to wake.

Then something lit the plants inside the glasshouse. This was SE England's light quota for today.
