Much Chipping in the garden

No relation to Chipping Sodbury.
Made about 400 litres of woodchip from pruning the apple tree, pollarding the hazels and pruning various shrubs last autumn.

You may note that the chipper has ‘Silent Power’ on the barrel - so why does it say you need ear defenders on the back?
