Preaching area...

in the oak wood, in use following the Disruption of 1843, when the Free Church of Scotland split from the Church of Scotland. The ministers renounced their manses and were forced to preach in the out doors. There is still an annual service held in June.
I was there to see if the snowdrops were up as this is one of the earliest flowering sites. I found Honeysuckle in leaf and Hazel Catkins.
