Soft light through rushes

Went for a walk around the lake at lunchtime with some friends. Not too muddy but not really a chance to stop for photos. This was the rushes at the end of the lake. They were looking lovely and fluffy in the winter sunshine.

S and Son number 1 were up with MIL today in Nottinghamshire installing a new dishwasher and doing other bits and pieces. I got regular updates from them during the day about their progress. They got back at about 7.30 pm and we ordered pizza for everyone as a lazy tea.
