It's a mystery to me..
Today was a day of peculiar happenings. It was busy as always but strangely calm. I was dreading reading my emails.
I was expecting the line of red exclamation marks but there weren't any. Problems sorted, for now.
I spent the first hour killing people off, running towards them with my machete and slicing their heads off as, in good gladiator style, the heads flew up into the air spinning away wildly with blood and gooey stuff spraying everywhere. No, I wasn't playing some modern fantasy game, I was just letting my imagination run riot while I terminated the Oracle system accounts of employees who were on my list of people who had left the council. I was making the process a little more interesting in my mind's eye!
Tesco Man came. He was a cheerless individual who curdled the milk while he stood there waiting with a bored expression while I ran back and forth with food. Funny how they are all so different.
Now here is the strange event of the day. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a man with a dark jacket walk up the drive while I was working. I sighed and got up with my 'No thanks and get lost' speech ready. By the time I reached the front door, the bell rang. I opened it quickly and was shocked to see no one there! I stepped out cautiously and looked to the left and the right in case someone had moved off really, I mean REALLY quickly. There was no sign of anyone! Nothing was moving out there. No traffic. I was and still am really confused! Had they peered through the window while I was going to the door and then they hid under a bush? He might come back in the dead of the night to steal my work laptop and 3ft skeleton from the book case. I'm glad Bony (5ft 4") is guarding the landing upstairs. Hmmmmm. Maybe I've read too many thrillers and watched too many horrors.
Track? Well, with all the strange happenings, I have a chance to play my favourite Tinsley Ellis masterpiece again -
Mystery to me...
