Old and new

Taken from the Golden Gallery of St Paul’s; 528 steps or 85 m above the cathedral floor. Well worth the climb , although in another photo I do look a little nervous! We enjoyed visiting St. Paul’s and exploring with the excellent informative multi media handset. It never felt commercialised, always emphasising the spirituality of the building and encouraging contemplation.
After that we visited Southwark cathedral which seemed very humble in comparison.
We finished the day with a great show: Hamilton. I can’t pretend to have known anything about it before we went but it was really good fun and entertaining. Superb singing and dancing from the cast.
